Anti-Semitic or Anti-Gentilic… To be or Not to be

Are laws being Created Against Blockbusting, Particlarly as those Laws Focus on an Illegal Activity of ultra-Orthodox Real-Estate Agents, anti-Semitic or are they Really Intended to Stop Anti-Gentillic Behavior

A Repost of an article in a FB Page “Clarkstown-What They Don’t Want You to Know”

LostMessiah, March 27, 2016

Parallels of Clarkstown and Ramapo to Toms River and Lakewood – Anti-Semitism or Anti-Gentilism?

In New Jersey Lakewood’s population is expanding by leaps and bounds. According to records from Lakewood released to the Associated Press, its population has gone from 93,000 in the 2010 census to 120,000 now. That’s a 25 percent increase in just over half a decade.

Lakewood is largely Hasidic and next door Toms River is feeling the negative effects of that growth. The majority of the 9,000 Toms River residents requested the township to stop unsolicited visits from realtors. An ordinance is now going into effect this week to shield them. A ‘cease and desist’ order goes into effect, essentially expanding a no-knock ordinance already in effect to include realtors, most of whom are Hasidic Jews from Lakewood.

Looking at similar growth in Ramapo and with unsolicited realtor door knocking occurring in Chestnut Ridge and Pearl River, one wonders if no-knock ordinances in Clarkstown and Orangetown are now required? As we mentioned in an earlier post, the Town of Orangetown is holding a public meeting on Tuesday, April 12 at 8 PM in Town Hall, 26 Orangeburg Rd, Orangeburg, NY to discuss strengthening of its code concerning ‘hawking and peddling’.

https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=473413752858774&id=146207698912716&substory_index=0

The question that will be raised by these proposed code changes is: “Are they anti-Semitic”?

However, this question should be reversed and one needs to ask: “Is a religious group, that seeks to displace non-Jewish residents from their homes ‘en masse’ to establish segregated zones for Hasidic residents, behaving as anti-Gentiles”?

Anti-Semitism or anti-Gentilism? – The answer may lie in asking who is the ‘aggressor’ and who is the ‘victim’ of acts of unsolicited ‘hawking and peddling’.

The doctrine of the Hasidim is that only they are human (man), and that the universe was created for them alone. Non-Jews (goyim) were created to support them. Thus arises the pernicious belief by the Hasidim that the ‘goyim’ behave as ‘anti-Semites’ when they act to protect their property, their homes, and their financial resources from usurpation and fraud.

Until that basic belief of this ultra-Orthodox sect is clearly understood by the ‘goyim’ of Toms River, Clarkstown and elsewhere, their lives, liberties, and the pursuit of their happiness will never be secure.

Lakewood, Toms River, Drugs… No Blockbusting

The Great Deception of Lakewood and Toms River, Who’s at Fault for the Tensions?

by LostMessiah, March 20, 2016

Toms River residents are staying strong as they fight the “invasion” of ultra-Orthodox home hunters looking to intimidate them into selling their homes, with the ultimate goal an expansion of Lakewood. The following article came out in the Shore News Networks.

Lakewood’s Leaders Have it All Wrong; We are NOT the Problem

An Editorial by Shore News Network editor Phil Stilton

Caption: Lakewood Mayor MillerLakewood Mayer.jpg

LAKEWOOD-Although Toms River Mayor Thomas Kelaher is being besieged by the Lakewood Orthodox community leaders and press over his use of the word invasion to described the real onslaught of Orthodox Jewish realtors based out of Lakewood disturbing the peace in the northern section of the town and others, members of that community are also engaging in their own word-twisting and hurtful speech.
In this week’s Lakewood Shopper, a report slamming Kelaher and the residents of Toms River stated, “Toms River is a town plagued by drugs, crime and urban decay. Lakewood too has suffered from drugs and crime from Toms River expanding over the border and spilling into Lakewood.”

“It would behoove Mr. Kelaher to focus on real problems facing his community, rather than focusing his efforts on promoting ethnic tension,” the report continued.
But facts obtained from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office this week dispute the claim that drugs from Toms River are spilling over into Lakewood and data received from the prosecutor’s office over the past 12 months suggests the opposite is the truth.
Drugs from Lakewood are plaguing Toms River and other nearby communities. It has been the case for many years.

In the first three months of 2016, there has been only two reported incidents of drug overdoses in Lakewood and three in Toms River. When you compare that to 13 in Brick, 7 in the small borough of Beachwood and 7 in Point Pleasant Borough, it’s hard to imagine that Lakewood’s drug problem is borne in Toms River.

On August 15th of last year, Lakewood drug dealer Johntel Thomas was indicted for distributing; In October, Lakewood resident resident Octavious Jenkins was stopped driving his Mercedes Benz in Toms River carrying $2,500 in proceeds from his illegal drug transactions after he was caught dealing in Toms River by undercover police officers.
Later, police raided his Lakewood Township home where they uncovered Jenkins’ crack distribution operation.

Two years ago, 13 Lakewood residents were arrested in a raid at a Lakewood Apartment complex, found to be a major source of heroin distribution in Northern Ocean County and southern Monmouth County.

Dawn Rosser, another Lakewood resident was arrested in a sting that also nabbed nine other Lakewood gang members who were all charged and convicted of running a massive drug distribution operation. The operation was the result of a multi-agency effort led by the the FBI.

In February, a butcher-knife wielding man chased another down Route 88.
In March of last year, a Lakewood man was charged for the death of the son of Seaside Heights Mayor William Akers.

In August, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office conducting a drug search at Jackson Liberty High School, in an effort to combat the flow of drugs from Lakewood, which starts at the border of the high school grounds into the school. The OCPO said that operation was part if an “incredible simultaneous operation” that also uncovered a tri-state drug distribution ring that extended from New York City to Philadelphia with many conspirators from Lakewood.

To say Toms River’s drugs are spilling into Lakewood is a farce that has no factual backing nor do any police actions over the past two years support that claim. Instead, they show clearly that Lakewood is central in many large scale drug distribution operations in Ocean County.

That epidemic lies squarely on the shoulders of Lakewood Mayor Manashe Miller and his lack of attention towards the problems plaguing Lakewood’s African American population. A segment of the population, that although he feels is not “Lakewood”, is just as much a part of Lakewood as his own religous community. Why not help them live the American dream like others in your town?

It was just shy of one month ago that a man, and member of one of Lakewood’s prominent families offered a homeless man $5 to pour a cup of hot coffee on his head.

It was Lakewood where a rabbi received a 10 year prison term for offering to orchestrate violent kidnappings to force men in that community to honor their wives divorces.
Lakewood is rife with violent crime, gun crime and gang violence like no other town in Ocean County.

Just last week, a fire in a home being used as an illegal dorm burned down. Nobody was injured, but the headline could have easily been “Teens Found Dead in Illegal Dorm Fire”. Lakewood officials for decades have turned a blind eye to extremely dangerous housing problems.

Lakewood’s school system is a trainwreck. Funds are gobbled up to support your community’s sexual segregation of children while non frum children flounder in one of the most ill-managed school districts in New Jersey.

So as the leaders of Lakewood continue to condemn Toms River and Jackson residents for being threatened because unscrupulous real estate buyers have caused an ongoing public disturbance, Lakewood is not the model society for the rest of the county to look up to, no matter how much Menashe and other community leaders want us to believe in his damning letter to Mayor Thomas Kelaher.

So Mayor Miller, as you point the finger at the wrongs of the communities and leaders around you and throw the “Holocaust” card in the faces of simple homeowners just looking to enjoy their civil liberties and to live in peace and quiet, remember, that was over 70 years ago now. Many of the people you condemn and call anti-semetic had parents and grandparents who were wounded, maimed and even killed freeing those Holocaust survivors in World War II.

Remember, it is America who liberated the concentration camps. It was my grandfather who got shot in the back and nearly lost his hand from grenade shrapnel to free your descendents who were persecuted by the Nazis (not Americans).

As Americans, we hold absolutely no responsibility for what happened in Germany 70 years ago and we never should have you or any other Jewish leader throw that in our faces. The fact is our relatives in Toms River, Howell, Brick and Jackson fought to free yours. They continue to defend Israel even today.

Instead of blaming us for that, you should be thanking us. Instead of intimidating us into selling our homes, you should be glad to live with such neighbors whose forefathers risked their lives to free Europe and liberate the Jews at time when the Jews were unable to defend and fight for themselves.

Know that when a group like the Nazis emerge again, it is OUR sons and daughters who will take up arms to fight them again. It is our sons and daughters who continue to fight and die against muslim terrorists worldwide eager to destroy Israel. Know that no matter how much you call us anti-semetic or fear that we are the foundation of the future holocaust, that people like myself who served will rise up to defend your people again, regardless of how much you look down upon us.

In the entire US Military, according to a story in one of the leading Jewish newspapers, just under 100 Orthodox Jews serve our country.

Remember the people these realtors are harassing out of your homes are the same people you will call on to defend Israel when the time comes. How dare you or anyone in your community say what is going on is based on religion.

I feel Mayor Miller and the media of Lakewood owe an apology to the residents of Toms River and Jackson for the illicit behavior of real estate agents from Lakewood.
I feel Mayor Miller owes an apology to the mothers and fathers of children who died from heroin overdoses, where the product entered into the county and was distributed by residents of Lakewood.

When Mayor Miller fixes the trainwreck of a town he leads, perhaps then, we can start talking to him and taking his advice on how to run our towns.

With No-Knock List Growing, Real Estate Solicitors Now Trying Texts

By Jennifer Peacock
As towns take a look at their no-knock registries, residents are reporting unwanted sales pitches are now coming in via text message.

No-knock registries prevent solicitors from going to your home and giving you a sales pitch there. In several towns, that also means real estate soliciting.

The issue stems from the neighborhoods in Jackson, Howell and Toms River that border Lakewood, seeing realtors come out in droves as part the population boom Lakewood is experiencing.

The online chatter of late has revolved around residents in both Jackson and Howell receiving text messages from real estate agents. In Howell, residents hear from “Joe Huffman,” identified as a real estate buyer in Howell, NJ, as reported by Howell NJ Strong on March 12. The text asks if the receiver is interested in selling their property, and is coming from 732-810-0149 and 732-751-4581.

Both numbers go to Huffman Properties, where the caller is asked to leave a name, phone number, and property they are calling about. An online search yielded no results for that company name, but did find one Joe Huffman in Howell. No phone number was available with that listing.

Both Jackson and Howell require that door-to-door solicitors apply for permits before canvassing. Both townships also have no-knock registries, which allow residents to opt out of receiving such solicitors. However, it’s beyond the jurisdiction of municipal governments to restrict phone calls or mail.

Using the no-knock registries is the main way a resident can prevent what they may feel are bothersome solicitors. The process often begins at town hall, with a form to fill out to get on the no-knock list.

Some residents have decided to take the paperwork to neighbors in Flair and Brookwood 1 and 2 in Jackson this past Saturday. The Facebook page Jackson NJ Strong announced that members of the group would in those neighborhoods with applications, which they in turn will deliver to town hall and return to residents’ homes with the no-knock decal.

Jackson NJ Strong responded to The Times and said their efforts were met with positive feedback.

And while applications for the Jackson registry are available for download online, residents must print the application, fill it out and either mail it or deliver it to town hall. Jackson NJ Strong wants to see the township provide an application that can be filled out online.

In Jackson, Council President Rob Nixon spoke at the March 8 council meeting on the topic, prefacing his comments with the fire in Lakewood that damaged what appears to have been an illegal dormitory.

“The improper tactics of Realtors, real estate speculators, panic peddlers and blockbusters hoping to prey on Jackson is an issue that concerns us all. Again I will say, if you see something, say something,” Nixon said. “There are resources available to address these concerns at the disposal of our residents today.”

All residents should sign up for the no-knock registry, he said.

“Don’t believe those who attempt to flippantly dismiss this tool. Our law is strong, it’s effective, and its penalties hit harder than those laws passed in towns nearby,” Nixon said.

He also told residents that they must report possible transgressions to the appropriate local, county, state and federal authorities.

“We are a wonderful and welcoming community, but we are bound to live by the same rules and the same laws. Respect for the law equals respect for each other,” Nixon said.

Toms River, NJ and North Dover and “‘Highly Annoying, Suspicious and Creepy Tactics”

BLOCKBUSTING AND MORE BLOCKBUSTING…

from an article on BloomburgBusiness, March 14, 2016

Orthodox Jews Set Sights on N.J. Town and Angry Residents Resist

Every home is big on glass in a Toms River, New Jersey, neighborhood called North Dover. Windows let in the sun, or show off chandeliers in multistory entrance halls.

These days, though, most homeowners draw the blinds, retreating from brushes with a fast-growing Orthodox Jewish community that’s trying to turn a swath of suburban luxury 10 miles (16 kilometers) from Atlantic beaches into an insular enclave. The rub, a township inquiry found, is “highly annoying, suspicious and creepy” tactics used by some real-estate agents.

They show up on doorsteps to tell owners that if they don’t sell, they’ll be the only non-Orthodox around. Strangers, sometimes several to a car, shoot photos and videos. When they started pulling over to ask children which house was theirs, parents put an end to street-hockey games.

“It’s like an invasion,” said Thomas Kelaher, Toms River’s three-term mayor, who’s fielded complaints from the North Dover section since mid-2015. “It’s the old throwback to the 1960s, when blockbusting happened in Philadelphia and Chicago with the African-American community — ‘I want to buy your house. You’ll be sorry if you don’t.’ It scares the hell out of people.”

Scholarly Community

The upset has its roots in adjacent Lakewood, home to yeshivas including Beth Medrash Govoha, among the world’s biggest centers for Talmudic study. Scholars typically marry young and start large families that maintain strict gender roles and limit interaction with secular society.

Rabbi Avi Schnall, state director of Agudath Israel of America, which represents Orthodox Jews on political, social and religious issues, said a few sales agents “are overly aggressive and making a bad name for the others.” He declined to say whether anti-Semitism is at work, but said the “extent of the anger” in Lakewood’s neighboring towns is deep, fueling opposition to a learning center, a boarding school, dormitories and other proposals.

In 2014, Toms River accused Rabbi Moshe Gourarie of running a house of worship and community center in a residential area, an issue that in December drew more than 1,200 residents to a zoning hearing to raise concerns about traffic and property values.

“The residents are in an uproar not about the chabad so much, but about the real-estate canvassing,” said Gourarie’s attorney, Christopher Costa. Gourarie and his nonprofit outreach group have nothing to do with people looking for homes, and continue to seek permission to operate, he said.

“He’s been a little shocked to have 1,250 people object to what he’s been doing for 12 years,” Costa said. “Nothing has changed except for he’s suddenly being prosecuted.”

Separate World

The friction reflects increasing insularity among the most religious Jews worldwide. In Israel, the Haredi inhabit a largely separate social world, according to a Pew Research Center survey this month. They share few connections even with their fellow Jews and there is scant intermarriage; 89 percent of the Haredim surveyed said all or most of their close friends belonged to their own community.

Though just 10 percent of America’s 5.3 million Jewish adults identify themselves as Orthodox, they have much larger families than others of their religion, and “their share of the Jewish population will grow,” according to a 2015 Pew survey. Their conservatism could “shift the profile of American Jews in several areas, including religious beliefs and practices, social and political views and demographic characteristics.”

Lakewood, once a rural destination for Rockefellers and other industry titans, is now a land of synagogues, religious schools, kosher groceries and residential neighborhoods in the grip of minivan gridlock. It’s also a place testing the limits of zoning enforcement for 95,000 people, at least half Orthodox, by Schnall’s estimate.

This month, after fire destroyed a single-family home, the Ocean County sheriff said that it was being used as an unauthorized dorm for as many as two dozen yeshiva students. Downtown, inspectors boarded up a commercial building four times, citing non-permitted use as a catering hall and Orthodox study center, only to see the plywood removed and the space reopened. The fifth board-up succeeded, backed by a planning-board ruling, said Steven Secare, the township attorney.

“The trend is going to continue into surrounding areas,” said David Holtz, 43, a Lakewood real-estate agent whose Orthodox clientele is drawn to low crime and sizable newer homes. Toms River residents who don’t want them, he said, are subscribing to “fear of the unknown,” and both Orthodox and secular communities need to abide one another.

Taking Our Communities Back, Blockbusting… the Illegal Practices of Expansionism

BLOCKBUSTING…..EXPANSIONISM…LAKEWOOD, TOMS RIVER, MONROE-WOODBURY, BLOOMINGBURG

by Lost Messiah, March 16, 2016

This article was sent to us by a FB site, which also cited LostMessiah. We are posting it along with a series of supporting posts on this topic. We find most interesting that this topic is being picked up now worldwide.

Twersky and Teitelbaum: Avoiding Justice by Transcending Time and Space

The most fervent of the Skver and Satmar ultra-Orthodox Hasidic sects hold their leaders in god-like regard. It’s not uncommon for the most fundamentalist members of the cults’ lowest castes to literally eat the crumbs off of their leaders’ plates. It’s as if Marie Antoinette has been reborn into a televangelist’s – one who “cures” paralysis – body; these leaders have their cake and YOU can eat it, too – so long as you submit to a life of celebrated poverty, unashamed illiteracy and absolute dependency on an outside world and government that you undercut and bilk daily.

These leaders, while eschewing pop culture, must’ve seen Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, because their dictatorships are substantively a hybrid of disjointed temporal phenomena (because let’s face it, they certainly didn’t study World History in Avir Yaakov). They rule as if in Soviet Russia in the 1970s. They treat minorities as if they were plantation owners in the 1860s. They are quick to draw false parallels to 1939 in a misguided and disingenuous attempt to liken justifiable criticism against them to the deplorable actions of the Nazis. (And they dress like Polish nobility of the 18th century. No judgements. Live and let live.)

So what does that mean for us? Well, for starters, we’re expected to ignore the values of the United States Constitution and forget the fact we’re in America. Oh, you didn’t get the memo we’re in a theocracy now? At least that’s what bloc leadership would like us to believe. And, unfortunately, that’s how we are being treated.

Their dominion over (mostly) illegal housing in Spring Valley is today’s modern day feudal system. The working class does just that, works!, but at the end of the day, the cash they make goes back into their landlord’s pocket and never makes its way to the IRS. Fire safety be damned, too. It’s no secret bloc leadership has snatched up these homes with the intention of tearing them down and developing similarly unsafe and crowded high density housing. What’s the big deal if a house goes up in flames? It was only a matter of time before the slumlords let it fall beyond disrepair like Avon Gardens.

As for everyone outside of Spring Valley – you’re not off the bloc’s hook, either. Infinitely ballooning Medicaid and government subsidies programs are bleeding the County dry. Not to mention dubiously skyrocketing school budget allocations for “non public school services.” Regents exams and high school diplomas be damned!

And then we have arguably the more salient issue of the moment: blockbusting. In perhaps the best real life example of biting the hand that feeds you, bloc leadership and developers want YOU – the tax base, supporting the theocracy – to move. Belligerent agents like Naomi Steicher admittedly “do everything” they can to get homeowners to sell.

Which is kind of confusing. Do you want us here, supporting “Medicaid Villages,” or are the anti-Zionist Hasidic sects all of a sudden kibbutzniks and plan on creating a self-sustaining society for themselves and thus want us out?

Seems they’re in a bit of a Catch-22.

Even the Daily Mail from the UK is reporting on blockbusting!

This follows Bloomberg News’s reporting on the same issue earlier yesterday.

LostMessiah.com has also picked up our viral post (50,000 people reached and counting) from yesterday for that article click, here.

The blockbusting that is plaguing our region is all over the wires. This is an issue no one can ignore! We need to keep the pressure on, turn up the noise and TAKE BACK OUR NEIGHBORHOODS!

Naomi Streicher and Blockbusting… IT IS ILLEGAL

Naomi Streicher and Blockbusting

streicher_n

Shared by LostMessiah, from an ever-growing FB page, Take Rockland Back: #RocklandStrong:

It’s ILLEGAL. Period.

Several readers of this page have notified us that Naomi Streicher and her gang of blockbusters were out “canvassing” neighborhoods near Provident Bank Park yesterday afternoon. This being the same day the Journal News printed the blockbusting story. Clearly, arrogant Naomi could care less about the legal ramifications – or optics – of what she is doing. As she says in her interview with the Journal News, she does “anything we can do to” get unintended sellers to sell. (“Are you sure you don’t want to sell now?” is the common question, followed by, “Because we’ll be back next year offering you half of today’s offer.”)

Be on the lookout for her white Audi Q7 touring your neighborhoods. Other blockbuster-driven cars include a white Honda Odyssey that was working with Streicher yesterday; and a silver/green Smart car that has been soliciting around Chestnut Ridge and Pearl River.

If someone comes to your house, PHOTOGRAPH/VIDEOTAPE them and CALL THE POLICE.

We will soon be launching an automated Blockbusting Hotline that you can call to report real-time real estate solicitation. A dedicated team of residents from throughout the County – consisting of, among others, retired law enforcement officials and trained first responders – will respond to hotline messages as expeditiously as possible and liaise with local law enforcement. Voicemails may be left in English, Spanish, Creole, and Yiddish.

Wake up, Naomi! We as a County will not sit idly by while you engage in targeted harassment and blockbusting. Your glory days are over; the rebirth of Rockland is just beginning.

We will not tolerate this brazen disregard for the law. We will not be forced to leave our homes like refugees. We may have fundamentalists in Rockland County – but this is still the United States of America!

Bloomberg News today reported on virtually identical blockbusting in Toms River: click here

Due to the attention we’ve all been bringing to this issue, CBS 2 will be airing a segment on Rockland blockbusting this evening. We will update this post when we receive confirmation as to the exact timing of the broadcast.

The Bloc and the Destruction of Liberty

Take Rockland Back: #RocklandStrong, a Facebook page that organizes grassroots efforts against, among other things, blockbusting, posted this analysis of “the bloc” today:

12828561_544204582424285_6604313521191805694_o.jpg

The State of Our States: The Bloc and the Destruction of Liberty

Folks, blockbusting and over-development are serious issues, plain and simple. But they’re symptoms of an even greater problem. If we’re to solve them, we can’t fuss about political correctness. The truth is the truth.

On that note: It is a sad reality that the religious Jewish community’s leaders and affiliated developers – who are market makers of their own real estate economy – feel an absolute entitlement to “lay claim” to any area of land they see fit. We see this occurring in literally every ultra-Orthodox community in Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties in New York, and throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties in New Jersey. One cannot say the issue is isolated; it is institutionalized.

Now, this is – for the time being, that is – still the land of the free, and everyone and anyone has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of property wherever they may please. But when there is a systemic and systematic usurpation of the rights and liberties of others, and an ensuing overhaul (read: destruction/corruption) of municipalities, that’s where we must draw the line. We must draw the line at corruption, discrimination and decimation (if not outright organized crime) masquerading as religion. We must draw the line when absolute power and political protection is afforded to a privileged few at the expense of all others.

This is not a religious issue; this is a “bloc” vote issue. Yes, “bloc” has entered our vernacular as a synonym for the religious Jewish community, but in this analysis of the situation, we restrict its definition to refer to the political elite and economically powerful of the “bloc” communities.

We see the bloc’s destruction of neighborhoods, school districts and local governments throughout the region: from the now-heavily-segregated Spring Valley, to the razed and looted East Ramapo Central School District, to the on-a-precipice Monroe-Woodbury School District, to the Towns of Ramapo and Monroe and so on and so forth. The locations may change, but the modus operandi of the bloc remains the same.

This did not happen overnight. The bloc’s rise to near-untouchable power has been steady, methodical. They’re playing the long game, the next fifty years; we’re focused on tomorrow. They have practically the entire New York Legislature in their pocket, through the sham Agudath Israel organization; we struggle to have one representative on a local level who hasn’t sold their soul. They disproportionately are afforded Section 8 and Medicaid benefits; we’re lucky if we pay the mortgage on time.

And we’re not the only victims of the bloc. The bloc’s own “constituents,” if you will, are victims! Child sexual molestation and domestic violence – all swept under the rug – and impossibly sub-par secular educations in State-funded private schools — the bloc leadership holds everyone around them – Jew and non-Jew – absolutely hostage. The only difference is, we’re not suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

All of this is one big “open secret,” yet not a damn thing is done about it. For people of color and minorities, there’s the presumption of guilt until proven innocent. For the bloc, guilt is almost a foreign concept. Rockland DA Thomas Zugibe, whose soul is entirely removed from any dimension of cosmic existence, turns a winking eye at rabbis and teachers who have sexually abused dozens of children. Town Supervisors St. Lawrence and Doles have foreclosed any and all aspects of their humanity and dignity over the course of years of blatant political corruption and favoritism.

Nearly every single misdeed and crime committed by the bloc goes unpunished by our so-called justice system, emboldening bloc leadership, intensifying their arrogance.

As a result, we see more blatant blockbusting, more brazen over-development. These are now endemic to our communities.

We’ve all heard the reports of the wrapping-up of Federal investigations – but we must say: If those truly come to pass, that is not enough. That is not true justice.

Noramie Jasmin, former mayor of Spring Valley and a convicted felon, is now – finally – sitting in prison. Yet have the residents of Spring Valley been liberated from the yoke of bloc oppression?

We must not become complacent if/when these rumors come true. We must not allow a vacuum created to be filled with even more extremist/radical politicians who will cater to even narrower special interests. We cannot afford another “Mission Accomplished” blunder.

We must continue to fight the blight of the bloc at all levels of government. We must – and will – continue this fight until we see the realization of our Constitution’s promise of equality.

This means fighting this fight on every level: exposing blockbusting real estate agents; rallying our communities to oppose over-development; electing politicians who serve at the pleasure of ALL citizens.

We will continue to fight this fight on every block, in every neighborhood, in every village and town and county. We do this not for ourselves, but for our children and our nation. We’ve come too far as a society to live under feudal and fundamentalist conditions.

We will see a restoration of Liberty when the bloc is busted.

And not a moment before.
